I am looking for a pair of processors for a G5 - something like 2.0 or 2.2 GHz for a dual processor G5. It currently has two 2.0 GHz - must be something like a 2004 model. I also need the Apple software for doing the thermal calibration. Can anyone out there help me? Thanks . I can also use some advice. I can get my G5 to boot and come up in a rather normal fashion. However after it runs for a while it seizes up. I had a spare MB and swapped it out. But it does the same thing with the different MB. I also have a single processor G5 with a 1.6 GHz CPU. I took out both 2.0 GHz CPUs and replaced them with my single 1.6 GHz CPU. The machine now seems to run OK without any seizures. So I am concluding that one, or perhaps both, of the 2.0 CPUs is(are) flaky. Would anyone care to offer some advice? I need all the help I can get. Thanks again.
