Greetings all,
Time to make room in the school studio, so I am giving away the
vintage, museum piece units that I used to use for demonstration
purposes. All units are, upon last use (which could be from recent to
some time ago) working and complete in themselves. I only have a
couple of ADB keyboards and mice, so please consider this offer for
the units alone. Here are the units, and their respective specs (as
best as I remember):
1) Mac SE - good screen, 4Mb RAM, 80 Mb HD, case sound with just a
little yellowing; Sys 7.1
2) Mac Classic II - excellent condition, good case, maxxed RAM (10 or
12Mb) HD > 80 Mb; Sys 7.5.5 (iirc)
For the two compacts I also have external SCSI enclosures (one HD, one
CD) that are the same footprint as the Macs
3) Mac IIci - pretty much a stock unit (4 Mb RAM, maybe 80 Mb HD, not
sure) OS unknown)
4) Mac IIsi - this one's a beauty; excellent condition, fully decked
out with a 230Mb HD (iirc), maxxed RAM
(17? 19 MB?), has the Nubus adapter with the '030 math
coprocessor, and an Apple-class video card for
(again, I think) millions of colors (2 Mb VAM?) - Sys 7.5.5 I
think
5) Performa 638 (with '040 CPU) - another beauty, this one was the
"teacher multimedia" model that was
being offered to pub. schools for interactive purposes. Has 36 Mb
RAM (maxxed, I believe), a 230+ Mb
HD, has the Video In card, the TV tuner card and the rare MPEG-1
processor card, CD-ROM, and
either an Comm slot ENet or modem card. I also have a spare PSU to
go with it, and all the retail box/
literature/media that went with the MPEG card - if I can't give
this away, I'll find a way to keep it ;-)
6) Performa 6400/200MHz tower. Excellent condition, maxxed RAM (128
Mb?), has the PCI riser with
Farrallon ENet card, TV tuner, Video In, CD, 4 or 6 Gig HD, Case
excellent, includes a ZIP bezel and
bracket. OS 8.5.1 - this unit runs excellent, with one recent
issue: it does not turn off (will reboot instead
of shutting down when commanded to do so). My suspicion is a
relay in the PSU went bad, but I can
include a spare PSU for whoever gets it.
There we go: free for cost of shipping (please be patient with me as I
search for appropriate materials). Upon confirming interest, I will
boot up the units to provide specific specs for you; once boxed and
ready, I'll give you a total, and you can send me a check (made out to
the school) and off we go. Pick-ups encouraged. All units will be
excellently packed and shipped from Upland, IN 46989-1001 (about an
hour north of Indianapolis). Ideally, it would be awesome to give all
of these to a single-source or individual who runs a sort of museum
experience or other such educational enterprise - if this is the case,
speak quickly! as I'll give preference to such a request.
