This was used in a PM G5 as the startup drive. Twice as fast as the stock drive, making startup and operation really quick. These also work great for audio/video capture and fast scratch disks. My main system has two one for startup and one for scratch and AV capture. You haven¹t experienced fast until you¹ve had one of these for a startup drive (unless of course you use RAID for startup). My drive failed and this is the one that Western Digital returned to me. It is still sealed, as it came to me. I needed a replacement quicker than they would provide one, so don¹t need this great drive.
