The model number is MHT2080AH. The drive I have is an Apple-ROM original equipment unit, so there should be a lot around. It runs and checks out OK with Drive Genius 2 and Disk Utility (partly). But it is missing pin 43, the one on the far upper left row, which is a 5V return pin. That's probably why Disk Utility won't let it write zeroes, even though it will let it be partitioned.
If you've got a Fujitsu MHT2080AH that's got bad sectors, or makes noises, but has a logic board that's intact, I'm interested. I've saved a number of drives and/or extracted data by replacing the drive's logic board, so it's worth a try.
