Hi folks

I no longer have room in my G4 for the following PCI cards. Could they
enhance your life?
==========================================================
FORMAC PROTV (Version 2000-01-14)
- More info here
- Dates from when I bought my first ever brand-new mac, a G4/400.
- Card will also work with G3 (B&W) and original-style iMacs
- Works in OS9 with supplied software (CD)
- Also works with OSX. See http://home.versanet.de/~athiede/itv.html,
apparently. (My current G4/800's sound-in jack is FUBAR but the
picture works OK.)
- The OS9 software mentions PAL, SECAM and NTSC formats but the actual
tuner may support PAL only.

I'd keep this card but
- my G4's PCI slots are filled with other stuff that I want more
- our TV signal comes into the other end of the flat and I don't want
to string a cable all along the hall
- we live in a basement flat, so TV reception here is poor anyway. (As
far as I can see, the picture quality from this card is as good as we
get on our TV so the card is fine.)

==========================================================
ADAPTEC SCSIConnect 2906 SCSi card
- works just fine without extra drivers on G4/800 under 10.4 (Tiger)
- works just fine with drivers supplied on original CD under 9.X
- not yet found drivers for 10.5 (Leopard)
- comes with 50-pin cable (3 connectors) and 1 adaptor from 50-pin
connector on cable to 68-pin connector on drive.
- if wanted, I can throw in a 9GB 3.5-inch SCSI drive from a G3 mini-
tower. (I can't guarantee not DOA because this drive has been kicking
around my mac bits-box for a while now.)
==========================================================

Everything mentioned above, apart from the HD, has been seen to work
this weekend.

Please send me your post or zip code so I can calculate shipping (from
Edinburgh, Scotland, EH3 7PX, just in case you want to investigate
shipping for yourself).

I can take payment by PayPal, real UK cash, personal cheque in £UK
drawn on a UK bank or maybe trade for something I want. I'll even
consider deals where the buyer gives the money they would reimburse me
for shipping to a charity supporting homeless folk at Christmas - I
just want rid of things that clutter my life but will enhance someone
else's!

BTW, I still have a few bigger ATA/IDE drives that could do with new
homes for Christmas - contact me for details!

BTW, you pay any customs/excise/import duty or other government/state
fees.

Thanks in advance

Bruce Ryan
