I'd like to unload a PowerMac 6100/66.

It had a dead hard drive, which I removed.

What it needs to be made fully functional:

- Video adapter... The on-board video uses an HDI-45 connector, and the dongle to convert it to a normal 15-pin Apple monitor connection is lost. So you would need to either make your own adapter by finding the pinout specs of HDI-45, acquire the adapter somewhere else (it's part # M2681LL/A -- I saw one in a list someone recently posted to lemswap), or find another solution that will plug into the PDS slot (e.g., an A/V card or adapter plus NuBus video or what have you). Or maybe you have that weird monitor that HDI-45 was designed for.

- Hard Drive and System Software... I'd suggest the free download of System 7.5.5 from Apple as a good system for it. You'd need to either install via lots of floppies, or larger removable drive (such as a CD-ROM or ZIP) either internally in the open 5.25" bay or externally.

I was able to successfully boot the machine by using a mix of borrowed parts (a G3 upgrade card that had a pass-through for PDS video, which allowed me to use an A/V card borrowed from a 7100) and an external SCSI ZIP drive with a System 8 folder on it. So with video and a hard drive and OS, I think it would be fine.

The machine reports 24 MB of RAM. There are two 8 MB SIMMs (72 pin) plus 8 MB on the motherboard.

I am looking for $10 plus shipping (UPS Ground, daily pickup rates).

For $5 more, I will include an ADB keyboard and mouse.

For $10 more, I will include an Asante FriendlyNet AAUI-to-RJ45 transceiver, that lets you use the built-in ethernet with standard 10BaseT networks.

Payment via PayPal, please.
