I would like to buy both the product and service of upgrading my newly acquired
G3 Pismo Powerbook to a 550 MHz G4 processor. Those that can do this know what
I am looking for.
This is a product/service that is available for $229 from a reputable company,
but with the realistic value of this machine, even with the upgrade, I am
trying to find out if I can get it done for much less.
So, what I propose is that I will ship you the machine at my expense and will
include a return ship label. You will provide the necessary parts and labor
for the price that you quote.
Please don't respond if you have never done specific upgrade before work - I
also ask that your provide references.
If anyone can offer a suggested alternative to what I have described wanting to
do to this machine, please let me know.
I will also consider offers for a good working Pismo that has had this
processor upgrade.
