Took a bit, but I present to you, the NICE Powerbook 3500c deal!
Powerbook 3500c, good screen and hinges, CD Drive and AC Adapter. Works great!
250MHz Motorola 750 G3 CPU, with GOOD L2 Cache (a common problem with Kangas).
Has both the ADB port and rear ports covers, 6gig HDD, and 64mgs physical RAM
(32 + 32) plus a WiFi card (drivers included) and a little something extra...
also included is a SanDisk carrier PCMCIA card with a 2 gig Compact Flash card
loaded. Once inserted, go to the STARTUP DISK control panel, and once it shows
in the que, it won't auto-eject on startup. Next go to the Memory control panel
at designate the CF card as the source of Virtual Memory, and set it as high as
you like (I tested it at 765mgs). Restart. You now have a FAST source of RAM
not dependent on the hard drive, giving you an INSANELY high RAM ceiling and
space left over for a huge RAM Disk as well. I've been testing this for a week
or so and this PB is running VERY fast & smooth.
You'll not find a good deal like this anytime soon!
