I have an older ibook to sell for parts. Apparently there is some kind of component that needs soldering on the motherboard. Here are the details: http://www.coreyarnold.org/ibook/
It does run if you put some pressure on the case when you boot it, but the mouse pad seems rather sensitive and it shorts out and seems to shut off the screen 1 GHz 512 RAM airport extreme card DVD Player/CD writer case has usual scratches, screen was fine, no dead pixels (when it is started) I tried to install the original OS (10.3) but am having trouble keeping the screen on. I don't have an external monitor to test it with (today) so I will take it to work tomorrow and see if that will keep it up. email me if you are interested in any or all parts.
