Complete Macintosh PPC 8500 system … including a Umax Astra 2200 scanner (SCSI and USB) with slide/transparency backlight, Apple Laserwriter Select 360 laser printer (a real workhorse), external firewire CD-RW drive, 4 GB External SCSI hard drive, Apple Extended Keyboard, a Logitech Trackman Marble trackball, and a Viewsonic VG800 graphics series monitor. All for $240. I will not ship …. so looking for someone in northwestern PA who might be interested in this system.
This is something which would probably only appeal to a collector/ enthusiast or someone who wants a complete/solid Mac OS 8/9 system. This 8500 has been upgraded with 832 MB of RAM, a Sonnet G3 500 processor, two internal hard drives (one 9 GB SCSI drive and one 80 GB IDE/ATA drive … running off an ACard ATA controller card), a combo USB/ Firewire card (two ports each) and an ATI Rage 128 video card (16 MB). All of my Mac classic applications come with the machine (Original software disks are included except for downloaded versions. In this case I will include CD back-up copies with SNs.) Installed applications include Adobe software (Pagemaker, Illustrator, GoLive, Photoshop LE and PhotoDeluxe), WordPerfect, Microsoft Office, Appleworks, Quicken, Mariner Write and Calc, Toast, and many, many other applications, including various utilities packages (including Norton Utilities … which still worked well back in the OS 8/9 days, Disk Warrior, and TechTool Pro), games and productivity programs. This is a great system that I used to fire up a few times a year to use certain classic (OS 8 and OS9) applications. Lately, however, I find I only turn the system on occasionally to test it out. Price is firm and I would rather sell this as an entire system than sell off the pieces individually (though that might be an option if I can't find someone interested in everything).
