Have two genuine Apple, excellent condition, working pulls from a late 2005 G5 dual-core tower and a G4 Gigabit tower. Both drives use IDE interface.
The burner is an Apple logo'd Hitachi-LG 8X DVDRW, dual layer, Apple p/ n 590-5338 rev.2. Mfr. date 9/05 G5 was parted out after shipping mishap. $20 + S&H The ROM optical is the original Apple logo'd Hitachi 8X DVD-ROM that shipped with my G4 Gig-E. Mfr. date 9/00.
