Hi Swappers, I have a nice working Powerbook G3 PDQ for sale. That is the late 1998 improved Wallstreet model. Model Number 4753 266Mhz Processor 192MB RAM (one 256MB PC133 SODIMM RAM stick/ limited by the Apple 192MB RAM limit) Supposedly there is a way to upgrade up to 512MB of useable RAM. Haven´t hacked it yet. 8GB HD 20xCD ROM Floppy drive MAC OS 9.2.2 is installed. I have tested it with both OS9.2.2 and 10.2.8.
These are the functions I have positively tested working: -ADB port -Ethernet -IRDA -S-Video out -Audio out -Audio In -Microphone -Speakers -CD ROM -Floppy Drive -PCMCIA expansion slot -Sleep/wake -Keyboard -Trackpad -internal Modem These are the functions I could not test due to lacking equipment: -Serial port -SCSI port -Battery charging No battery is included. The PRAM battery appears to be still alive. it remembers date and time for a couple of days. No AC adapter is included. Cosmetics: Overall very nice appearance. Only light scratches on top and bottom of case. No cracks. Display is bright. No scratches/stripes/shades/dead pixels or discoloration. Keyboard, Trackpad and Palmrest just show minimal wear. Hinges are good. Cleaned inside and out. History: This machine came with a surplus lot of disused Powerbooks from a company or school. I cleaned it, added some missing parts like processor card, memory and HD. Note: The Spec label on the bottom reads 300MHz. It came without the processor and I only had a 266 MHz CPU to make it work. Overall: This is still a very nice machine for someone who intends to works with OS9. It runs smooth and you can feel that it was top of the line in the late 90th. It is supported up to MAC OS 10.2.8. and even runs under TIGER with the help of XPOSTFACTO. How about $60 shipped USPS parcel post to anywhere in CONUS? Offers welcome. I Prefer PayPal.
