This one is in decent shape, has the CF-18z board with an 8 gig CF
card in it instead of the hard drive. This board also works with a
16gig card and probably higher.

For those of you unfamiliar, it's got a CF card instead of a hard
drive. Upgrades are easy, just buy a new card and restore the iPod
after replacing it.

You don't have to do anything but unplug and plug in the new card. You
can probably use a CF to SDHC adapter if you want, but I just did a
Classic with a 16 gig card, which was about the same price as SDHC.

Of course, another benefit is no more hard drive crashes.

Battery life is much better: you're only reading a CF card. No spin up
time, no massive power drain.

The only issue is it often requires a reboot on wake, but this is a
bug in the Apple firmware as I understand it. Not a big deal: hold
menu and select a few seconds and it's fine.

Selling because I did the aforementioned Classic with the same setup
and it's 16gig so I don't need this.
