This is a "set-aside' in my project pile, which has become too large. It's a G4 PowerMac "sawtooth" (orignilly 450 MHz) model with an upgraded 1.4 GHz processor, which includes on-board cooling fans. Also has a super drive. It will ship with 512 MB of RAM (2 X 256MB, 2 open slots) and NO hard drive (sled, ribbons, cable intact).
The issue I have had with this is that it will not wake from sleep. It works fine until it sleeps, but when I was working with it, would not wake up, and had to be powered down. I have seen various fixes for this on forums but have not tried them -- like I said, my list of projects is long and my patience in dealing with any but the obvious fixes has become short. I figure just the processor and super drive alone make this thing worth the price, and I don't think I will be sending you a dud, so you're getting this as is, as described. Figure $20 to $35 for shipping depending on your location. You'll be paying a little for good packing in a new box. Local Detroit area pick-up if free.
