Hello all, I'd like to put out a feeler and see what I can find as far as an early-generation MacBook goes. My sister wants an iPad for Christmas this year, and per my recommendation my parents are looking to get her a MacBook instead. (Sorry, sis! :-D)
Looking for something on the lower end. The original Core Duo model or the Core 2 Duo that came right after that would do fine. As far as RAM, optical, and HD, anything is fine. I have a 1GB stick to upgrade it with that I pulled from my MacBook Pro when I upgraded it to 3GB. Needs decent battery life, 1.5-2 hours is fine by me. Needs a charger as well, but if you don't have one locating one shouldn't be too much trouble. OS and software do not matter either, I'll be putting Snow or Lion on it, depending on CPU.
