Free to good home:

I have four (4) Powerbook 180s, each with their own idiosyncrasies,
but all are usable collectable babies. Included are two good power
adapters. I see the adapters on Ebay, so they should not be
difficult to get additional adapters.

In my opinion, all could potentially benefit from new PRAM batteries.
Long periods off the charger causes them to revert to 1904. The
removable batteries in all units are dead. They power up just fine
from the power adapter, with or without battery inserted.

Three of them develop some screen corner vignetting after they have
been on for about 30 minutes. Two are more pronounced, one is less.

I also have a bunch of spare parts that are being offered as well.

Three of them have max 14mb of RAM and 1 gig HDs, and one I call
Orphan has 10mb of RAM and 320 MB HD. Orphan is, however, one of the
better machines. It is a solid performer.

I will also include a CD with "service source" instructions,
MacSecrets 5th edition, and personal tear down photos. These little
guys are not that hard to work on if you are careful and follow
instructions. I have made some notes on each one and will include
them.

I could recycle these locally at Best Buy and get 10 bucks each via
gift card, but I feel that Powerbooks of this era should not be
recycled for the metals. They need loving homes that will preserve
them for their museum days. That is why I am going to this much
effort. If I sell them, I have to deal with buyer expectations. This
way, my conscious is clear and I am down the road in my RV, so to
speak.

Contact me if you are interested. I am planning to ship in a box that
is 18x18x18 and will even put some extra goodies in if there is room.
I have calculated USPS Parcel Post to Oregon from STL, to be safe. It
appears that shipping will be about $50.00. We will need to email
directly to clarify the final amount.

The first with a sincere interest and prompt follow up gets them.
That's it. Get in touch if you want em.

When we agree, and I receive shipping cost in my Paypal account, I
will ship promptly. My eBay name is rt66ramblin, and just add
@sbcglobal for the PayPal name. I have over 400 feedback ratings with
100% positive. We meet our obligations, whether selling or
buying...... period. We expect the same from those we deal with.
