The SuperDisk will read/write to 1.44MB floppy disks and 120MB Imation SuperDisk floppies via a USB interface. Would work great to keep using your 1.44MB floppy disks, or if you've got an aging SuperDisk and want a backup. It matches the translucent white/silver and blue/green of the original iMacs very nicely; I don't have a camera handy, but it looks exactly like the one pictured here... <http://www.computerliquidationcenter.com/store/catalog/457_Large.jpg>
Tested on a 10.5.8 MacPro and a 10.6.8 MacBook Pro; mounted and reformatted a 15 year old floppy disk with no drivers and no fuss. Was unable to successfully test a SuperDisk because the one disk I have wouldn't mount or format successfully. Disk Utility did recognize the original name on the disk though, which is something, and points to the disk as the likely failure point (they were known for being a bit flakey.) Includes the drive, USB connector cable and original power brick. How does $15 shipped anywhere in the continental US sound? Offers?
