My heavily upgraded G5 just died thanks to the usual logic board/CPU issues. I know these things are a bucket of trouble, but after my investment into my last one, I'm going to try to squeeze a couple more years out of PPC.
Therefore, I am looking for any G5 Core system (no HDDs, No RAM, no Video, No/Bad Optical OK). Really, all that needs to work is the logic board, cpus, i/o, cooling system & fans, and power supply. No single processor machines or 1.6s, and nothing that won't boot or is in the beginnings of the kernel panic death spiral. As far as price, I'd like to keep it under 120 sans shipping for an earlier aircooled DP (1.8, 2.0), and will negotiate in the area of 150-190 for dualcore/liquid cooled machines. Quads would have to be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Obviously, if you have some of the aforementioned components in the system, we can negotiate around adjusting the price accordingly. Thanks!
