Dear swappers,
If you need these (and you do need them, if you're obsessively compulsive like
me (a generally useful and good trait), in order to make your Titanium PB
collection authentic, they're cheap. Remember you get the Mac OS X and Mac OS
9 versions that came with your computer, plus the underlying Software Restore
and Hardware Test disks. The latter are particularly invaluable for debugging
and diagnosing these old machines, yet unfortunately seem to have been made of
the element unobtainium...until now! These sets both include the original
individual disk sleeves and the enclosing cardboard pouch/sleeve that holds the
set. Here's what I have:
1. Titanium PowerBook G4/667 MHz disk set in original cardboard sleeve
(603-1692-A PowerBook G4 Media), including Powerbook G4 Mac OS 9 Install
(9.2.2, CD version 1.2, 691-3561-A), Powerbook G4 Software Restore disks 1 and
2 (Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 applications, CD version 1.0, 691-3969-A and
2Z691-3970-A, Apple Hardware Test Powerbook G4 (SW version 1.2.2, 691-3991-A)
Powerbook G4 Mac OS X Install Disk 1 and Disk 2 (Mac OS version 10.2, CD
version 1.0, 2Z691-3967-A and 2Z691-3968-A).
2. Titanium Powerbook G4/800 MHz disk set in original cardboard sleeve
(600-9479-A Powerbook G4 Media), including Apple Hardware Test (SW version
1.2.2, 691-3565-A), Powerbook G4 Mac OS X Install (10.1.4, CD version 1.0,
2Z691-3560-A), Powerbook G4 Applications disk (CD version 1.1, 691-3566-A), and
Software Restore Disks 1-3 (Mac OS versions 10.1.4, 9.2.2, CD version 1.0,
disks numbered 691-3562-A, 691-3563-A, and 691-3564-A).
These disks for older Macs are generally $60 to $120 at welovemacs.com(e.g.,
see http://www.welovemacs.com/appog480tosx.html) ... and that's usually just
for _one_ of the disks, like the OS X restore or Hardware Test disk. My price
is $25 (per set) plus shipping, OBO, for an entire, whole, unadulterated,
multi-disk, original boxed set: that's right, you get *both* operating
systems, Application restore, Test disk, etc as described above.
But wait, there's more, and operators are standing by!! If you order a set
soon, I will stuff the extra space in your Small USPS FRB (an additional ca. $6
with delivery confirmation, with as many spare Ethernet and USB cables as I
can, until I run out, in order to make all snug for shipping.
Best regards,Mike LincolnSalt Lake City, Utah84103
