Hello swappers, I've got four WD EACS (Caviar Green) one terabyte 3.5 inch HDD for sale. The drives (see http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/green-terabyte-1tb,2078.html) were new in 2010. I have placed them into Hitachi XL 3000 (3 terabyte) USB 2.0 drive cases like these: http://www.hitachigst.com/tech-support/xl3000 (I just put the 3 TB Hitachi drives into my Mac Pro). Each unit has been repartitioned as a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) single partition and wiped with a 7-pass erase. No bad blocks/sectors were found in the Disk Utility erase process. The original Hitachi enclosure accessories (USB cable, power supply) and box will be included. These would be great for Time Capsule backups, attached to your Airport Extreme. They'd also make great media drives for a home theater: the WD EARS Green Caviar line was written up on the "Silent PC" site as being incredibly quiet. These would also make a great RAID array in a Mac Pro or multi-drive enclosure. I am asking $79--or propose a satisfactory price--plus actual shipping to you. Propose a discount package deal if you want all four! Best regards,Mike LincolnSalt Lake City UT 84103
