Greetings,

Good news: I just acquired a 'newer' Mini. Especially good because:

Bad news: My G5 2.0 17" iMac just showed me the black screen of death. I
attempted all of the resetting measures that I could find online, but none
worked. I did not try to reflow the GPU. The third LED doesn't light up, so
I'm guessing a failed logic board.  All of the caps look to be in good shape;
flat-topped and non-bulgy. The fans start up and the lights come on, so the
psu still works to some degree, if not perfectly. I have no way to test it.
The case is in pretty good shape, and the screen had no bad spots - of course,
now, it has no spots at all :-(
There is not a dim light from the screen, so, from what I can tell on the net,
it shouldn't be a screen problem.
So, all parts other than the hard drive are available. I want her to be a good
organ donor, so I'm willing to part with parts for much-better deals than you
would find on ebay. Rather than list every single part, it may be easier to
respond to individual requests. To post this, I think I have to list a price,
so I'll arbitrarily (I really don't know what to put for a price) throw up a
price of $50 + shipping for the entire machine. As I said, though, individual
parts are fine, too, if not preferable.

Thanks very much, and feel free to ask questions if I didn't explain things
very well,

Jason Kyle
