Hello, I'm looking for one of the "phone-type" cords (RJ-10, perhaps?) used to connect the keyboard on the early compact Macs (the Mac 128K/512K/512Ke and Plus). Please let me know the color of the keyboard cord you have (though either beige or platinum is fine, really).
If you happen to have an old keyboard that has suffered a liquid spill, here's a chance to salvage something from it. (Standard terms, conditions, and disclaimers follow.) Please let me know your asking price and the cost of shipping (cheap and slow shipping is fine for this). Shipping will be to zip 95132 (CA, SF Bay Area/San Jose). Being a keyboard cord, I don't think even my postman can irredeemably screw this one up, so soft-sided packaging would probably be okay (though I won't protest too loudly if you ship it in a box). Any shipping method is fine for this, so long as it gets here in a couple of weeks. I can pay via PayPal or (im)personal check, seeing as how PayPal is anathema to some folks. If you take Paypal, please be sure to tell me if you have the ability to accept both balance transfer and credit card-funded payments, or only the former. If you prefer a check, I understand that the check will need to clear before the MessagePad is shipped and am happy to allow more time for that. However, in the interests of getting this project underway sooner rather than later, it's only fair to mention that folks who accept PayPal will likely take precedence over those who want me to schlep them a check.
