Greetings all,
Here is a bit of useful nostalgia:

Global Village 33.6b Speakerphone Edition. This is the modem that stood on
its footprint as a little tower, and (to me) looked like a shark's fin in
order to forward-present the internal speaker (within the beveled front).
Scripts and software can still be had here:
http://modems.globalvillage.com/support/teleport-336-speaker.html

There is a (little) photo of it here:
http://www.fixya.com/support/p3481937-global_village_globalvillage_teleport_33

Finally, there is a contemporaneous review of the model here:
http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Global+Village+delivers+first+33.6+Kbps+modem+for+the+Macintosh+that...-a018766467

even during my early OS X (10.2) days, I was using this modem in my office,
predominantly as an answering service tethered to an old 8500 I also had at
that time (running OS 8.6). It's answering services were superior to the
"new-fangled" digital service being foisted on all the employees from our
telecom services. At that time it ran wonderfully, and it should still do
so (unused since its retirement)>

You'll get what (I believe) is the complete set: speakerphone modem, power
supply, serial cable (a DB 9 to DIN-8 - unusual for GV), foot stand, and
owner's manual. The person I bought this from had made me a CD which
includes the software, drivers, firmware update, and all software utilities
basically a copy of the OEM CD plus updates - you will get that CD as well.

Let's say $12 shipped in the con U.S.? Shipping will be from Upland, IN
46989

Thank you for reading,
Regards,
Dana (Collins)
