Over a year ago I purchased a 2006 MacBook (MA254LL/A - MacBook1,1 - A1181 - 2092) from another swappewr as a chemo-completion present for my wife that she has absolutely loved (it's been the most advanced Mac in our home). That is, until recently when it took a header down a short flight of stairs, with the display as the unfortunate victim.
So, I am looking for two things: 1- The lcd or display/top case assembly itself, which I have not dignosed as to whether or not the lcd is the full extent of the problem. The current cover is glossy (and is not broken), but if it comes to a top-case replacement, matte would be OK too. 2- The services of the swapper that has the display to do the repair. I can do a lot of repairs to a mac, but do not have the dexterity, experience or patience for this job. Let me know if you can help. I realize a full quote on the repair might not be possible until you have seen the machine. Don Salata Canton MI 48187 -- You received this message because you are a member of the LEM Swap group.
