Hello, Remember the old days when all you needed to listen to music on a portable player was a pair of crummy headphones and a set of easily-had AA batteries?
Sadly, those relatively carefree days are long gone. Which means that a Certain Someone is currently in the market for iPod Mini accessories. In fact, if your Mini went kablooey and/or missing in action long ago, leaving you with a drawerful of accessories for it that you can no longer use, this could be your chance to unload them at long last. Here's what I'm looking for: Dock connector to USB or Firewire cable Wall adapter for the above that allows you to plug the cable directly into an electrical outlet Remote Control with a pass-through port for headphones Aluminum (or other hard material) case (no soft-sided cases, please) ...and any other useful accessories someone with a new-to-them Mini ought to have with the exception of headphones (of which I have plenty). Ideally, I'd like to purchase all of the above in one go from the same seller, but as we all know, we live in a breathtakingly imperfect world, so please let me know what specific accessories you're offering. Alternately, if anyone out there has a first-generation iPod (and by that I mean a first-generation unit *only*, please, for reasons that are just too sordid to get into here), please drop me a line describing the capacity, cosmetic condition, and battery life of your unit. While a seldom-used unit that was employed only for listening to music on Sundays would be great, this iPod is meant to be used, so please do not be shy about offering a dinged-up one, so long as it is fully functional and not another project device for me to add to the mouldering pile. Please let me know your asking price and the cost of shipping (cheap and slow shipping is fine for this). Shipping will be to zip 95132 (CA, SF Bay Area/San Jose). Despite repeated pleadings, my mailman continues to handle my mail as though it's some sort of personal affront, so as far as the first-gen iPod goes, that would need to be well-packed and shipped in a cardboard box, please. In fact, the Small Flat Rate Priority Mail box (the one about the size of an old VHS cassette) would be perfect. Of course, if you want to ship it via Parcel Post (or FedEx Ground) that's fine, too, just so long as it's shipped in a cardboard box. The iPod Mini accessories ought to be okay in a padded envelope, seeing as how not even *my* mailman can hope to screw up a few cables and whatnot. I can pay via PayPal or (im)personal check, seeing as how PayPal is anathema to some folks. If you take Paypal, please be sure to tell me if you have the ability to accept both balance transfer and credit card-funded payments, or only the former. If you prefer a check, I understand that the check will need to clear before anything is shipped and am happy to allow more time for that. However, in the interests of getting this underway sooner rather than later, it's only fair to mention that folks who accept PayPal will likely take precedence over those who don't. As always, thank you for reading. Best, James Fraser -- You received this message because you are a member of the LEM Swap group.
