1TB Western Digital Caviar Black SATA II 3.5" 32 MB Cache 3GB/s Hard Drive WD1001FALS
This is Western Digital's Caviar Black drive, designed for higher performance in a 3.5" installation. This drive came from my 2010 Mac Pro (as shipped from Apple). I have only used this drive as an occasional backup (clone) drive so it saw occasional and very light use. Drive Interface is SATA II. It supports 3GB/s transfer rates but is also backwards compatible with 3GB/s SATA. The drive was tested with Disk Utility (SMART and Verify) and Tech Tool Pro (SMART and scan for bad blocks) with no problems found. I have an external drive now so I no longer need this internal drive. This is a bare drive (no cables or screws).
