I'm looking for a dead or broken PowerBook to modify into an iPad stand. Specifically I'm looking for one with a 4:3 screen somewhere between 9.5" and 10.5". According to MacTracker, any of the following PowerBooks should work for me: 150, 500 series (any model), 190, 5300 series (any model), Duo 2300, or 2400. I'd also consider a larger model like the 1400 or 3400, but those wouldn't be ideal.
Condition is irrelevant. A dead logic board, missing hard drive, and cracked screen would actually be preferred, since I'll be doing some major modifications and would rather not throw out working components. I'm mainly looking for a decent case (it doesn't have to be perfect, but it shouldn't be cracked or too beat up) and a working hinge (no cracks or flimsy wobbling). I'm looking to spend around $20 shipped, although I also have some things I could trade. If you have something you think I'd be interested in, let me know. I can pay via PayPal.
