Used it with the Macbook Air with 3rd party app for AirPlay a 3rd screen (mind you at 720P). Looking to get a mac desktop or build one so the Apple TV wouldn't have much use. Even thought its 3rd Gen you can AirPlay Plex to it or use PlexConnect to play your home media or access other sources....
