Dear Swappers, I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro 3,1 in very good condition. The specs are: 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD (newer Apple pull; the old 320 GB HDD was getting flakey). It is running Mavericks. The machine has never had any dents, dings, or damage. Battery condition (replaced a year or so ago with new Apple battery) is normal, 134 charge cycles. It can be hard to find a used machine that hasn't been dropped and damaged at some point in its life, and this one has not been. The only significant limitation is that the Superdrive no longer reads reliably. You may be able to clean the lens or you can certainly get a new ATAPI superdrive from Mohammad Hammad. Minor defects are that some feet are missing and a couple of keys (M and N) have slightly worn silver paint from use, but remain easily legible. The screen is bright and clear. The original Apple box, packing materials, charger, and DVD/software install discs (Snow Leopard) will be included. Asking price, including shipping from 99203 (Spokane) to the continental US is $395, and offers are welcome. RAM and disc space are excellent.
