Free For Shipping (totally free for local pick-up, which i encourage): U.S.
Robotics mac&fax Sportster 14,400 Fax/Data Modem.
Back in 1993 when i bought it new, CCITT V.32bis with V.42bis and 14,400
bps Group III Fax was state-of-the-art. Served me well back in the day,
until faster modems came along.

The point of this exercise isn’t so much the modem itself, though it *was*
working
when last used (years ago). The point is that some Mac collectors have
store-like displays of their collections, and this modem is in its original
box with original packing and all original paperwork, cables, software
floppy disks, etc. (plus some firmware upgrade ICs in the wrong package
that never fit the socket—*derp*, U.S. Robotics!). The box is in handled,
very good condition, with unfaded, bright original outer box artwork.
Especially with the box all closed up, this looks like it just came off a
store shelf, after a few customers handled it.

If shipped, will be packed in a sufficiently larger, sufficiently padded
outer box such that this inner box should arrive in the same condition.
Photo of top (or front) of box (all assembled) available by request.

Just making this available in case someone wants it for their personal
collection/museum. Will go to e-waste in a week or so if no interest. I *will
definitely* consider shipping just the empty box (the outer sleeve, which
is the prettiest part, and the corrugated box just inside to give it shape)
to minimize weight and keep shipping costs low if someone just wants the
box to display.
