I have a used VXA-1F Firewire tape drive for sale. It will back-up up to 66GB on a single tape and is reasonably fast as tape drives go. It's in excellent cosmetic condition. It includes the power supply, Firewire cable, and 4 tapes (used) with the unit. Tapes are readily available from several vendors but if you run an incremental backup and recycle the media you probably won't use additional tapes. The VXA Drive can be used for program distribution, data migration, data interchange, it can save and restore data between disk storage and tape. The Tape Drive is FAST, its a 8mm streaming type packet drive that attaches externally to many workstations and servers. The VXA drive and tape technology are superior to almost every other form of tape backup. It can provide a capacity of up to 66GB storage capacity per cartridge. You will need Retrospect to backup from your Mac to this tape drive.
