This unit is brand new and has never been removed from the packaging. The tape is still holding the case into the box. This case besides protecting the iPad also has a built in 4400MAH battery that is supposed to add 5+ hours to the run time of the iPad. It also has a kickstand that allows you to place the iPad on a table in portrait or landscape mode for easy viewing. The box says you are also able to sync your iPad while it is in the case with the supplied 2.1 AMP USB cable.
