My trusty late-2009 Mac mini is starting to feel a tad slow, and at this
point I can't really afford to replace it with a newer model. My
understanding is that the guts of that machine are essentially those of a
MacBook, and I'm thinking that for a cost effective boost of speed and
graphics capability I could find a semi-beat MacBook *Pro*, the same age or
newer, to use as a desktop. I'm hoping that someone has something unwanted
laying around with a broken screen, a dead battery, bad drive(s) and/or
cosmetic damage that I could purchase for use as a desktop replacement.
Let me know what you've got and what the issues are with it and perhaps we
can work something out.

Thanks,

Ryan Stevens
