I think I'm giving up on this Powerbook - I plugged it into a power adaptor, and a green power light flashed on and off, with no other sign of life. There have been suggestions about unplugging the PRAM battery, but getting to it is a chore on this model Powerbook - it seems to be a Wall Street, 233 MHz model.
If anyone wants it as a project, I'm happy to send it for the cost of shipping (from Vancouver BC Canada V6A2A4).
