I have a used but in solid working-condition Mac Pro 2.8 8CX tower for sale. It's available at two different price points: stripped-bare for the do-it-yourselfer or ready-to-go. Here are the two options:
READY-TO-GO 250gb hard drive running at 7200rpm three EXTRA drive sleds (for a total of four) Bluetooth 4GB RAM (4 x 1GB) NVidid GeForce 8800GT video card (supports two displays) SuperDrive* $475.00 + shipping BARE NO hard drive three drive sleds TOTAL Bluetooth NO RAM (includes memory riser cards, though) NO video card NO optical drive (includes mounting cage and all cables, though) $275.00 + shipping Prices quotes are for money order/personal check. I DO accept PayPal, but the price will be slightly higher (to include all the fees imposed on PayPal users who receive money). BOTH configurations include power cord. Keyboard, mouse and monitor are NOT included, though I can throw in a black USB Apple keyboard and mouse for an additional charge. I CAN make custom alterations to the above two configurations, though, if you like (for instance, you want it bare + video card, or ready-to-go minus the RAM). *--ONE NOTE about the SuperDrive...it reads DVDs and CDs just fine, but does not seem able to burn DVDs. It might just need a cleaning, but I don't want to risk damaging anything, so optical drive is not guaranteed. You might want to do like I did and replace it with a blu-ray burner anyway! This is one of the earliest MacPros that can be taken up to El Capitan without having to do any hacking. Tower is in good condition, though there are some "cosmetic" blemishes (some scuffing and scratches) from daily wear and tear (it came from a computer lab). NO major dents, cracks, holes in the casing, though! Optical drive door MIGHT stick a little bit (i.e. stay open after the tray goes back in), though there are plenty of fixes for that online, as it is a common occurrence in a machine of this vintage.
