I have a used optical drive from a MacBook, model CW-8221-C. It supposedly worked just fine when I bought it, however, I never actually installed it to confirm that. I'm not exactly sure what models it fits, except that it does not fit my Core2Duo.
Anyway, it's FREE + Postage to anyone who can use it. (Or just FREE if you live close enough to pick it up.) If you just so happen to have a Mac Pro 2009-2012 hard drive sled (the long one) sitting around that you'd like to offer in trade, I wouldn't turn it down.
