For sale is a magnificent 17” MacBookPro, the non-unibody 2.4Ghz Santa Rosa
model:

.

It is in great condition, cosmetically as well as functionally. A sort of
stain on the bottom side is the only cosmetic defect I can think of. No
warping, almost no scratches, sturdy latch. The memory is maxed out at 6GB,
the 500GB hard drive is fairly new, the (third party) battery is brand new
and only has 5 cycles in it. I put a nice skin on top of it, Gelaskins if I
remember correctly.

Its only issue seems to be the graphics card overheating, which is well
documented for this model. It froze a couple of times while playing HD
movies, until installing smcFanControl and cranking up the fans a bit took
care of it. That was months ago; it has been working without a hitch ever
since. Still, the graphic card should be reflowed or reballed or whatever
at some point, but that is beyond my skill set, so I’m selling it as is,
and that is the reason I’m keeping my price low.

It will ship complete with 85W power cord and a clean El Capitán install.

Here are some screenshots I just took:

I can take and send some pics of the whole computer if interested.

$160 shipped to CONUS.

Thanks,
