I received these parts in a large lot of computer equipment I purchased locally. I do not know if they work. I did try plugging it in and turning it on, but all I could hear was a faint high pitched squeal. I have read online that these do require a battery to be installed and working before they will turn on and function, but I'm not positive that is the case. In any event, I could not get it to work, *so all items are sold AS-IS with no returns accepted*. This lot would be ideal for someone who has a Macintosh Portable that they are trying to rebuild/repair since parts for these are hard to come by.
