Bought this used a few months back to keep on hand as a spare. Went to test it out today and am finding that while everything seems to work, it can’t seem to connect to a cell network. I have several known-good SIM cards that work fine in other devices, but this one doesn’t seem to be able to turn on cell service. I’ll get what looks to be the start of connection (carrier name shown in the top bar), but it will never fully connect. I had tried the same SIM cards back a few months ago , and at that time, they worked as expected. I have since updated to the most current iOS 12.1.4, so I’m not sure whether there may be something going on there. Also possible there is a hardware issue with the antenna, etc, but I know better than to open up something this small to attempt a repair.
At any rate, this is a space gray 32 GB Unlocked iPhone SE. Battery health is at 84%, so it will likely benefit from a new battery at some point. I was able to do a full restore/update in iTunes today, and got the “congratulations, your iPhone is unlocked” message. It is in fantastic cosmetic and functional condition (except for cell service issue). I am happy to provide the IMEI number for anyone that wants it, but don’t count on being able to get it actually working as more than a really nice iPod. I will include a usb charge/sync cable, but not charger “brick”. I’d like $75 shipped for it, or best offer. I accept direct CC payment via stripe, paypal, check/M.O., etc. Items will ship upon receipt of cleared payment. Email me at [email protected] to express interest. I reserve the right to sell it to the first person that can follow through with completing payment, even if they are not necessarily the first to respond to my post.
