It has (iirc) 4 Gb RAM, and I just replaced the DVD drive with a good working replacement. The screen is good, the top case is fully functioning (minus the typical loss of some of the very edge of the surface near the palm rests). The unit has had a dead battery in it for a while - there is speculation that the unit has lost its ability to charge, but this cannot be substantiated because the only batteries I have available are stone dead - as a matter of precaution, I replaced the battery connector with a brand new one, but the lack of results may still be because of the dead batteries - if you have a good battery, you will likely have a good working MacBook for free. Otherwise , you will have a unit that can provide you with lots of replacement parts. I will send it to whom ever wishes it as is, free only for cost of shipping. No hard drive or power adapter, and I'll not include the dead OEM battery to help with shipping cost (unless you want the battery; just let me know). Shipping from Fort Wayne, IN 46807.
