I have a client whose 27" iMac 5K (Late 2015) went belly up, and he's hoping to send it to someone who could make use of the screen and/or chassis. *Free for the cost of shipping via FedEx or $150, whichever ends up lower.* Shipping to the continental U.S. or Canada only. Details: As far as I can tell, the motherboard is dead, and it's possible that the internal power supply is also toast. I had just finished migrating the client's data to a new MBPro and had wiped the internal storage. Half-way through an OS reinstall, it locked up and would no longer boot to the OS. After a couple of attempts to see what what happening in Verbose Mode, it stopped responding to EFI pre-boot key combos - no Internet Recovery Mode, Target Disk Mode, or anything else. Then it stopped powering on entirely. I can't vouch for the health of the internal drive - which I believe is a HDD or Fusion, not an SSD - but we'll assume it is dead, too. The computer is in pristine condition physically - no nicks, scuffs, chips, or dead pixels.
