A 9600 with pretty much every upgrade you could think of! An odd concept in
2021, perhaps, but here it is. It does have a minor (IMHO) quirk, so please be
sure to read the note labeled “IMPORTANT” below.

Sonnet Crescendo G3 @ 400MHz CPU
768 MB RAM (all slots filled)
Twin Turbo 128+ Video Card
Apple SCSI CD drive (the only drive currently on the bulit-in SCSI bus)
PCI Cards:
Sonnet Tempo ATA —> 80GB ATA HD: Two 40GB partitions; one with OS 9.2.2
installed, the other with OS 8.6 installed
—> Apple ATA Combo Optical Drive: 48-24-48-16
        OrangeLink Firewire/USB card
        Atto Express PCI-PSC SCSI-3 card —> ACard SCSCI3 to ATA bridge —>
ViPower ATA Mobile Rack; tray contains a 9GB ATA HD with OS 7.6.1 installed
        Digidesign Audiomedia II audio card

Includes:
AppleDesign ADB Keyboard
Apple ADB Mouse (oval shape)
Apple Ethernet Transceiver
Video Cable: Apple DB15 to VGA HD 15
Griffin Mac PnP Video Apadter: Apple DB15 to VGA HD 15 w various dip switch
settings (not needed with cable above, but may offer more flexibility??)
ViPower external USB ATA mobile rack with empty tray and power supply (lets you
switch HD’s between the 9600 and another computer for data transfer, etc.)

Notes:
There’s no application software installed, and (obviously) no software licences
included. I assume a user could get what they want/need at Macintosh Garden or
other Mac cloassic abandonware site.

The case ia yellowed, in the typical manner of old “platinum” plastic.

IMPORTANT! There’s a minor (IMHO, anyway) start-up issue: After a shut down, it
takes two attempts to reboot properly EVERY TIME. If it’s running, and I select
“Restart” it restarts just as it should. But if I choose “Shut Down” it does so
immediately, but then (no matter how long the intermediate interval) when I
push the power button after that it chimes, but the monitor stays dark and the
system doesn’t boot. So I wait a few seconds, push the power button again to
turn it off, then push the power button one more time to restart. At which
point the monitor lights up, the system boots and everything is fine. I don’t
know what the problem could be. I wonder if the video card may not be detecting
the monitor properly(??). Anyway, the reason I think this is only a minor issue
is that it’s absolutely consistent, the system starts up absolutely reliably on
the “second try”, and it’s no impediment to using it.

Asking $75. Pick-up in Daly City, CA (SF Bay Area) HIGHLY preferred. But if
there’s no local buyer, I’ll pass it on to anyone willing to add the cost of
packing and shipping, which will no doubt come to more than the cost of the
computer itself :-(.

I have pictures I can email on request...
