After my beloved 2009 Mac Pro's daughterboard failed, I find myself with a few extra parts that have all been tested and work.
Mac Pro 5,1 (2010) single 2.8ghz processor daughterboard. This currently has four 4GB OWC DDR ECC PC1066 memory modules installed for a total of 16GB RAM. $60 plus shipping. FedEx Ground (~$20) seems to be the cheapest option for this. This board will not work with a Mac Pro 4,1 (2009) due to a disparity in the SMC firmware that causes the fans to run at full blast, and there is no fix for this. Eight 8GB Samsung branded DDR ECC PC1066 memory modules that were pulls from HP and IBM servers, but have been tested working in both a 4,1 and 5,1 daughterboard. Two for $25 plus S/H, or take all eight for $80, and I'll throw in domestic shipping to the lower 48 states. Note that these memory modules won't work in computers that use non ECC memory (i.e. most computers). AMD Radeon HD 4870 512mb video card. This was the "Upgrade" video card for the 2009 Mac Pro. $30 plus shipping. If anyone needs a sideplane board for a 2009 Mac Pro, let me know and I'll pull it. $20 plus shipping.
