Hello swappers - I have a very nice MacBook Pro, late 2012, 13 inch with i7
2.9ghz CPU, 16GB ram and 2TB SSD for sale, reluctantly replaced by my recent
acquisition of a M1 MacBook Air.

This computer is the LAST MacBook that has Firewire 800 port, but it is new
enough that it has usb 3.0 ports as well as Thunderbolt digital video out (with
adapters one can convert to VGA, DVI, Dual Link DVI and HDMI - none included).
The built-in SDXC card slot has been non-functional for a while (I used a
multiport USB adapter, not included), and the Super drive appears to not
recognize a disc, now that I tested it. I recall watching DVD movies on this
machine not too long ago, so it may just require a cleaning, but assume
non-functioning for the sake of this sale. An external optical drive would also
be an option one is required.

Gigabit ethernet, 802.11n wifi, bluetooth 4.0, for connectivity.

Backlit keyboard, a nice bright 1280x800 screen (no scratches visible) - output
to max 2560x1600 on an external screen with the proper adapter.

Overall a very nice computer, in very nice shape with a couple of minor
operational defects.

Cosmetically, it is in exceptional condition considering it’s age. No severe
markings or scratches externally, one small soft dent in the frame on the users
right side between the front corner and the kensington lock slot, that in no
way affects usability.

I just installed a replacement battery that shows 95% of designed capacity with
0 recharge cycles. Comes with Mojave installed and ready to set up as a new
user. I have been prompted to update to Catalina, so that is an option, and I
believe, the highest version OS X this machine is capable of running without
some gymnastics that Apple would not approve of. Native system when new was OS
X Lion, so if legacy software needs are a thing for you, this might be your
machine.

I’m asking $350 shipped for the computer, including a very good condition
charger with a duckhead plug and a wall-cord plug, shipping will be USPS
Priority Insured.

I have not taken any photos, but I have not yet packed it, so if there is
anything specific you’d like to see a photo of, let me know, and I’ll try to
get a picture to you. Or ask if you have any questions I have not addressed.

I’ll leave this for a few days, then will resort to online sale/auction sites.

thanks for looking
Ray
