CP. 23 February 2003. Protesters strip for peace.

VANCOUVER -- Some daring antiwar protesters gave passersby an eyeful
Sunday when they stripped down to form a naked peace sign with their
bodies.

Every body type, along with multiple piercings and tattoos were visible
as about 50 demonstrators pulled off their clothes and lay down on a
hill at Vancouver's downtown Sunset Beach.

The group, called Artists Against War, said they were rallying against a
possible attack on Iraq.

Organizer Conrad Schmidt said he hoped the group's nakedness wouldn't
overshadow their earnest message.

The Sunday event was not the first time antiwar activists have taken it
all off to protest a U.S.-led war against Iraq.

Last November, 50 Californian women took off their clothes in the cold
rain and spelled the word Peace with their bodies.
