I think LensFun incorrectly implements the PTLens model. According to http://wiki.panotools.org/Lens_correction_model#Lens_distortion_a.2C_b_.26_c_parameters the "d" parameter is 1-(a+b+c). However, LensFun just sets it to 1.
I don't know yet whether the PTLens model is wrongly implements, or if Hugin and PTLens simply are incompatible. By hook or by crook, the a,b,c parameters calculated by Hugin are incompatible with LensFun. This is especially dangerous because LensFun's own tutorial recommends to use Hugin for parameter generation. Besides, also the Hugin Calibrate Lens GUI is incompatible with LensFun. The error is mostly small, though. The worse the lens, the bigger the error. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Put Bad Developers to Shame Dominate Development with Jenkins Continuous Integration Continuously Automate Build, Test & Deployment Start a new project now.
