I'm working to use lensfun inside OpenMVG, an open source library for
Multiple View Geometry which provides Structure from Motion pipelines.

Just to explain the context: 3D reconstruction algorithms compute the
geometry of the scene and retrieve internal camera parameters. I'm using
lensfun to initialize the radial distortion of the cameras.
Currently openMVG maintains a basic database with sensors width in mm:

Other 3D reconstruction softwares maintain the same thing, like MVE:

It could be great to centralize all the information about the camera in the
lensfun database.
Are you interested to add information like sensor width in your database?
