Leo is from the trunk, running on an old Fedora Core 4 system running
python-2.4 (this is probably the source of the problem).

I tried it on my other platforms, running leo from trunk, running with
python-2.5 and it all works as expected.

I don't know if it's worth fixing. You decide.
