You feel old! I wrote my first program at school, in BASIC, on a
typewriter that was attached to a paper tape punch. To get the program
to run the machine had to be connected to a remote computer by putting
a normal telephone handset into a large wooden box, (connection speed
300bps). The paper tape was then run through the machine again and
the results printed on the typewriter. Happy days...! Should have
stuck with it :)

Thanks, got that. Obviously the .so I got was a faulty version. I'll
try to compile the from source. Glad I don't have to do that for
Windows!
