I started doing this several hours ago.  My first priority was to make
the body pane look better. Rev 1364 re-enables syntax coloring and
support a new @data qt-scintilla-styles setting.  This allows you to
specify colors for the QScintilla Python lexer.  The name of this
should be  @data qt-scintilla-python-styles...Also, there needs to be
a font setting...

There are lots of small but urgent items to fix before the Qt plugin
will truly be enjoyable to use.  In particular, Leo's commands must
work properly (use the proper indices), and this probably can't happen
unless either 1) Qt brings out a new official release or 2) the qt
plugin uses some other widget besides QScintilla.

But the big point is that QScintilla can be made to draw absolutely
gorgeous fonts.  So ultimately, QScintilla is the way to go...
